现为长江商学院人力资源学教授，美国密歇根大学商学院管理经济学研究员,并任教于明尼苏达大学卡尔森管理学院。 1989年以后的兼职任世界银行顾问，清华大学经济管理学院中国经济研究所高级研究员，和中国留美经济学会副会长

主要研究领域
主要集中在组织理论、 劳动经济学与人力资源管理、中国经济、货币与公共金融等

学术成就
在过去几年中，王一江博士在国际著名期刊Research in Labor Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics等发表多篇论文，并被大量引用；其中"Human capital investment under Asymmetric Information: The Pigovian Conjecture Revisited"多次被Handbook of Labor Economics所引用。
